Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery (NTA Level 6)
Programme Objectives
The Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery (NTA level 6) is designed and organized in six (6) semesters, each with specified courses. The programme as approved by the Ministry of Health [MoHCDGEC] to produce innovative, creative and flexible nurses who will cope with dynamic changes in the profession, technology and socioeconomic needs they can render quality and cost effective nursing care that meets the health needs for people in Tanzania.
Admission Requirements
The course is open to candidates who have successfully completed a Technician certificate (NTA level 5) in nursing and midwifery.
Course Content
The curriculum for this program as designed and approved by the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children [MoHCDGEC]. This programme is comprised of 10 core and two fundamental modules spread over a period of two semesters. Each semester shall have 15 instructional weeks and two weeks for examinations.
